The Northern Territory Government has awarded $3.9 million (GST-inclusive) in co-funding grants to 38 projects across the NT as part of Round 18 of the Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations (GDC) program. This round will support 30 companies, including 11 first-time recipients.
The GDC program supports projects that address geological knowledge gaps and stimulate exploration activity to drive the discovery and development of Territory’s resources. By funding innovative exploration programs and making data publicly available, the program helps advance the industry and contributes to long-term economic growth.
The 38 projects include:
- 14 greenfields drilling programs
- 6 brownfields diamond drilling programs
- 10 regional-scale geophysical surveys
- 7 innovative targeting projects
- 1 project under the advancing critical minerals category
These projects span twelve geological provinces across the NT, providing valuable new data and drill core to encourage exploration in underexplored regions and further develop areas with known resource potential.
All data and drill core generated through the program will be made publicly available by 1 August 2025 or six months after acquisition, whichever comes first.
