The Critical Minerals in the Northern Territory 2024 documents the Territory’s resource endowment and exploration potential for up to 29 global critical minerals.
The Northern Territory's current list of 17 critical minerals includes critical minerals listed by our key global trading partners. It includes aluminium (as bauxite), cobalt, copper, lithium PDF (2.0 MB), graphite, gallium, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, phosphate, rare earth elements, titanium (as ilmenite), tungsten, vanadium, zinc, and zirconium (as zircon) – as well as its geological potential for a further 12 emerging critical minerals. The 2023 guide has been translated in Japanese, Korean and Indonesian, with new translated versions for 2024 available soon.
