The August 2026 update of the Digital Information Package 001 (DIP 001) Northern Territory geochemical and drilling datasets has been released, adding 2,311 drillholes, 542,365 geochemical analyses, and 52,483 surface samples from approximately 256 reports.
The update incorporates historical exploration data across the Katherine and Ranford Hill 1:100,000 map sheets, together with data from open file reports released since the April 2026 update. This follows the April 2026 release for the Pine Creek 1:100,000 map sheet, which added 7,679 drillholes, 444,810 geochemical analyses and 50,921 surface samples from approximately 379 reports. The Katherine and Ranford Hill release completes the capture of legacy exploration data across the data-rich Central Domain of the Pine Creek Orogen.
Together, these releases significantly expand the Northern Territory's publicly available exploration datasets, providing access to historical drilling, geochemical and surface sample data, alongside newly available open file exploration information. DIP001 is available to download via GEMIS.
