The Mining Developments Report captures the latest from across the Northern Territory’s mining industry. Recent highlights include Tennant Mines commencing gold production at its Nobles Nob processing facility, Avenira Ltd having all mining approvals in place for the Wonarah phosphate project, and Lithium Plus Minerals’ Lei lithium project progressing to developing project status.
As of June 2025, 19 mining projects are moving through approvals and financing stages, representing an estimated $6.2 billion in capital investment. These projects span a broad suite of commodities including copper, rare earths, lithium, and gold, and are estimated to generate around 3,300 construction jobs and 3,200 ongoing operational roles.
