Special session and workshop announcement
This year a special session will be held by the University of Adelaide, NTGS, Industry and Australia Research Council Collaboration on the Greater McArthur Basin. This session will focus on the significant research outcomes from this long and successful collaboration. Join us to hear about the latest research on the mineral and energy resources of the greater McArthur Basin that spans the wild west Birrindudu Basin through the Beetaloo Sub-basin to the Tomkinson Province, the McArthur Basin sensu stricto and the South Nicholson Basin. Hear about how the basin formed, its tectonic geography, and how the structure and water chemistry of the basin reveal what middle Proterozoic Australia was like! And perhaps more importantly, shed some light on why it contains so many resources. For further information on this workshop, please contact Alan Collins on alan.collins@adelaide.edu.au.
The Minerals Development Branch of the Department of Mining and Energy (DME) plays a key part in promoting and facilitating the development of the mining industry, a key pillar to the economic growth required to rebuild the Territory Economy. The Minerals Development Branch will host a workshop to provide updates on current issues allowing an opportunity for industry stakeholders to discuss these issues with representatives from the Branch. Further information on the workshop, please contact Simone Symonds on 08 8999 5293 or simone.symonds@nt.gov.au
The technical program program highlights will be announced in early 2025. So, stay tuned!
