There are now only eight weeks to go before the NT Geological Survey's 25th AGES conference, which will be held in Alice Springs Convention Centre on 16-17 April.
We have an exciting program coming together, with confirmed industry speakers from Astute Metals, South 32, GSW Resources, Investigator Resources, Kingsland Minerals, Newmont, PNX Metals, Prodigy Gold, Teck, Tennant Minerals and Transition Minerals.
The program includes presentations from NTGS, Geoscience Australia, CSIRO, universities and exploration companies on new geoscience data and concepts and exploration highlights from across the Territory. Topics to be covered include new discoveries of regolith-hosted rare earths, innovative targeting for copper-gold in the Barkly, updates on uranium geology in the Pine Creek region, and news of the discovery of the Territory's first graphite resource.
A highlight of AGES will be two presentations by Newmont on the geology and discovery history of the Oberon gold deposit in the Tanami.
There will also be sessions on the Territory's Proterozoic basins and associated basin-hosted resources, including a workshop and presentations on a major new GA-NTGS seismic survey to unlock the minerals and energy potential of the Birrindudu Basin.
Whether you are a current explorer in the Territory, looking for new exploration opportunities, or just wanting to network with the Territory exploration industry, AGES should not be missed.
Registrations for the conference and workshops are OPEN.
