World-class resource endowment
The Northern Territory (NT) has world-class resource endowment, with some of Australia's largest deposits of gold, zinc, uranium, bauxite, phosphate and manganese, and numerous emerging projects for commodities such as copper, lithium, vanadium, rare earths, tungsten, cobalt and potash. It also contains producing conventional oil and gas fields, and substantial shale gas resources.
NTGS Mount Peake-Crawford Airborne Magnetic and Radiometric Survey now available
Over 120,000 line km of new high-resolution geophysical data has been released across an area covering almost 22,000km2 west of the Stuart Highway and centred 250km north-northeast of Alice Springs.
